Solar on Buildings: Judith

May 28, 2018

Judith Brooks is another local solar crusader. She had 12 solar panels installed at her home in Barwon Heads 6 years ago, motivated by rising electricity costs, and a sense of social responsibility.

“The advent of renewable energy needs people to help with the transition,” she said.

Judith purchased the panels in 2012 at a cost of $7,000, and saves around $800 a year on her electricity bills. She is also looking into battery backup as a means to create greater savings and will be attending the Geelong Community Solar Program event at Barwon Heads Senior Citizens’ Club on 3rd June.
